ESQUIMAU have their musical roots in folk but are contemporary in their approach. Their lyrics are heartfelt, draw upon experiences of life and explore the 'human condition'.
With soothing vocals, swirling and layered harmonies, their lyrics are intelligent, emotive and often bear a positive message. Musically they are melodic, bright and blend a range of influences; they tend to huddle around an acoustic and piano lead. The bass and drums provide a comfy bed for the rest of the band to sit on, and occasionally bounce when the parents have gone to bed...
